Homestay Trek + Kanamo Peak Climb

Due to popular demand, we have combined 2 of our top treks - the Kanamo Peak climb behind Kibber village and our specialty - the homestay trek with our most popular destination - the magical Lake Chandertaal.

Now you can visit Chandertal, climb a 6000m mountain and spend a week passing through villages and acclimatizing as you make your way through Spiti's friendly hamlets and enjoy their legendary hospitality.

Chokula Peak 5500m

Mt Chokula 5500m

A beginners climb, this is the perfect slope to get the experience of high altitude climbing, without going farther than a days walk from the nearest habitation, the very cozy homes of Lalung village.

Locals will tell you that the ascent of Mt. Chokula is possible in only 1 day of climbing, then pause and after a short re-think will say perhaps 2 days for foreigners!

We allow for 4 days with enough time to reach Lalung from the Spiti District headquarters Kaza and return comfortably.

Hamta Pass 4260m

For the ultimate adventurer, Hamta Pass trek is a great alternative to the standard vehicle route that goes via Rohtang and Kunzum La passes.  Leaving and returning to Manali, this trek takes you into Lahaul, past the Chota Daru mountain and Bada Shigri glacier down to the tranquil waters of Chandertal Lake.

Badaa Shigri Glacier Expedition

For the serious mountaineering enthusiast only, visit one of the highest glaciers in Asia - Badaaa Shigri.
We arrange experienced and professional staff to accompany you on this advanced expedition including yaks and porters for when the yaks can go no further onto the ice!
This is one of the most exciting expeditions we have on offer and should only be attempted by those with experience at high altitude climbing.

This white peak towers 5964m above sea level. Located above Kibber and Ki gompa, the holiest mountain in Spiti. Ka means white or auspicious and Namo means hostess or a lady so Kanamo means the mountain is a good omen or simply a white hostess.
